Paphos September Cultural Festival Features Opera, Free Films, Concerts and More
Paphos is hosting a vibrant cultural agenda throughout September, featuring a variety of performances and events aimed at revitalizing the season. The highlight is the 24th Pafos Aphrodite Festival on September 4 and 5, where the Armenian National Opera and Ballet Theatre will join forces with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra to perform Gaetano Donizetti's opera L’Elisir d’Amore at the Medieval Castle Square.
In addition to the opera, the festival includes free cinema nights and concerts such as the screening of the film Cast Away on September 8 and the Cinema in Concert event on September 9, featuring the Orchestra Lumiere performing iconic movie soundtracks. Popular Greek singer Giannis Kotsiras will also perform on September 10 as part of his anniversary tour.
The second half of September promises even more cultural offerings including additional concerts, outdoor film screenings, photography exhibitions, theatre performances, Cuban nights, and stand-up comedy, making Paphos a lively destination beyond the summer rush.
