Cyprus Computer Society submits 33 recommendations to enhance National AI Strategy 2032 implementation
The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) has submitted 33 detailed recommendations aimed at improving the implementation of Cyprus' National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2032. While welcoming the publication of the strategy, the CCS emphasized the need to translate its ambitions into measurable and practical outcomes. Their proposals focus on sustainable funding, clear accountability, AI infrastructure, workforce development, and economic impact measurements.
Among key recommendations, the CCS called for a single, costed national AI implementation plan with defined budgets, timelines, and responsibilities. They also urged stronger governance structures to oversee progress and accountability, as well as the use of public procurement to support AI startups and SMEs. The CCS highlighted the importance of addressing emerging technologies like generative AI with dedicated governance frameworks, focusing on transparency, reliability, and ethical oversight.
