Tuesday weather: Mostly clear with inland temperatures up to 37C and isolated mountain showers possible
Tuesday's weather in Cyprus will be mostly clear with temperatures reaching up to 37C inland, according to the Met Office. While the day will start clear, seasonal low pressure will bring locally increased cloud and a chance of isolated afternoon showers, primarily in mountainous regions.
Winds will be light and variable initially, shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly at moderate strength later in the day, with occasional gusts up to 5 Beaufort along the southern coast. The sea conditions will remain slight throughout the day.
Temperatures along the coast will range from 32C on the western side to 35C elsewhere, while higher mountain areas will be cooler at 27C. The night will remain clear with temperatures dropping to around 24C inland and on the coast, and 16C in the mountains. Similar weather with isolated afternoon showers is expected through the end of the week, with temperatures rising slightly before cooling again on Friday.
