Alpha Trust Holdings requests delisting from Euronext Athens after full acquisition by Alpha Bank
Alpha Trust Holdings has formally requested the Hellenic Capital Market Commission to delist its shares from Euronext Athens following Alpha Bank’s complete acquisition of the company. The request was submitted on August 31, 2026, after the company’s sole shareholder, Alpha Bank, which now holds all shares, approved the move in an ordinary general meeting.
The delisting follows a squeeze-out process completed on August 24, 2026, during which Alpha Bank acquired the remaining 69,324 shares at €20.20 each. The transaction was valued at about €1.40 million and was conducted under Greek law after Alpha Bank surpassed the required ownership threshold.
In parallel, Alpha Bank announced it repurchased 350,938 of its own shares between August 24 and 28, 2026, as part of a share buyback program. The shares were acquired at an average price of €4.5481 per share, totaling approximately €1.6 million. This move aims to optimize the bank’s capital structure and enhance shareholder value, with all regulatory requirements strictly observed.
