Cyprus arts roundup: Piano recital in Troodos, archaeology documentary in Nicosia, diverse exhibitions and film premieres
Pianist Nikoletta Savvidou will perform The Piano Tour recital at the A.G. Leventis Botanical Garden in Troodos on Monday, 31 August at 10am, blending music with nature in a unique setting. The recital will be streamed live and available permanently online. In Nicosia, the Department of Antiquities screens the documentary Skammata at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre at 8pm, showcasing Cypriot archaeology with archival footage and personal testimonies; admission is free.
Several exhibitions are ongoing across Cyprus: "Code: Recomposition" at Apokalypsi Gallery in Nicosia until 12 September, "Women in Focus" photography exhibit at XeniArtSpace in Limassol until 19 September, and Nina Iakovou’s "Eyes to See and Hands to Touch" at Pierides Museum in Larnaca running through 2027. Additional exhibitions include a group show at St-art Cafe Larnaca and "Temporary Forever" at Paphos’ Almyra Hotel.
Meanwhile, cinemas in Limassol and Nicosia are featuring new releases such as The End of Oak Street and The Dog Stars, along with Eli Roth’s horror film Ice Cream Man at RIO Limassol.
