A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault and rioting incident at a Famagusta football fan event held at the Larnaca stadium earlier this month. The suspect turned himself in to police following the release of his photo and details by authorities.
The attack occurred on August 23 when about 30 individuals armed with bats targeted fans attending the event. Three men aged 21, 23, and 28 were injured, sustaining wounds to their hands, heads, and face. Police have issued arrest warrants for seven additional suspects as investigations continue.
