Cypriot high jumper Elena Kulichenko secured a silver medal at the 20th Mediterranean Games in Taranto on Monday, achieving a height of 1.92 metres. This mark was a personal best for the year and came on her third attempt, showcasing her peak performance during the event. Kulichenko remained competitive by attempting 1.94m and 1.96m, aiming for the gold.

The gold medal went to Montenegro’s Maria Vukovic, who cleared 1.94 metres. Kulichenko's accomplishment added to Cyprus's impressive medal tally, marking the 12th medal for the Cypriot delegation at the games.
