Cyprus consumers mostly satisfied with mobile services despite rising complaints and quality issues

A recent survey by the Cyprus Communication Commission reveals that while overall satisfaction with mobile phone services remains high, consumers are facing increasing connection problems. Issues such as poor mobile internet performance, lost service, and dropped calls were commonly reported, particularly among younger users. Despite these challenges, perceptions of value for money have slightly improved.

Cost remains the primary factor influencing consumer choice, with better tariffs and promotions driving considerations to switch providers. However, although more users had reasons to complain over the past year, less than half formally submitted complaints, and satisfaction with complaint handling has declined. This highlights ongoing concerns about customer service quality, even as most consumers plan to stay with their current mobile operators.

The survey was conducted in May 2024 by Pulse Market Research, gathering insights from over 1,200 participants across Cyprus, reflecting a generally positive yet cautious mobile service landscape.
