CySEC fines 12 companies €126,500 for breaching 2024 financial report transparency rules
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has imposed a total of €126,500 in administrative fines on 12 listed companies for violations related to the publication of their 2024 annual financial reports. The penalties were decided by CySEC's board during its June 8, 2026 meeting and announced on August 7, 2026. The infractions primarily involved breaches of section 9(1) and section 37(2)(a) of the Transparency Requirements Law of 2007.
KDM Shipping Public Limited and Toxotis Investments Public Ltd received the highest fines of €17,000 each for violations of both sections. Other companies such as Dome Investments, A. Tsokkos Hotels, and Karyes Investment were fined €16,500 each. Meanwhile, Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc was fined €9,500, and MLK Foods and Agroton Public Limited were fined €8,500 each.
The fines reflect CySEC’s commitment to enforcing transparency and compliance among listed companies. Several smaller fines were imposed on Unifast Finance & Investments and CPI Holdings, each receiving €1,500 for section 9(1) breaches. CySEC’s actions underline the regulatory emphasis on accurate financial disclosures in the Cypriot market.
