New Exhibition in Ayia Napa Showcases Cyprus’ Myths, Legends and Traditions

A new exhibition titled 'The Myths of Cyprus' has opened in Ayia Napa, focusing on the island's rich mythology, folklore, and cultural heritage. Curated by the Press and Information Office (PIO), the event is hosted by the Ayios Epiphanios Cultural Academy within the Medieval Monastery of Ayia Napa. The exhibition offers visitors interactive visual and digital displays that bring to life mythical figures, legendary creatures, and traditional stories from Cyprus, including both popular and lesser-known tales.

Based on the PIO's audiovisual series, the exhibition uses innovative presentation techniques to engage visitors and deepen their understanding of Cyprus’ cultural history. It runs until November 8 and is open free of charge. During August and September, visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm, with weekend hours from 4 pm to 8 pm.
