Fire on Kyriakou Matsi Avenue damages two vehicles in Nicosia
A fire that broke out in grass on Kyriakou Matsi Avenue in Nicosia on Wednesday afternoon caused damage to two private vehicles. The Fire Service responded promptly at 3:26 pm with a crewed fire engine and managed to extinguish the blaze swiftly.
One vehicle suffered damage to its bumper, grille, and number plate, while the other had its number plate affected. The cause of the fire remains unclear after an investigation by the duty officer, although the possibility of a discarded cigarette butt starting the fire has not been ruled out.
Authorities continue to advise the public to be cautious with flammable materials, especially during dry conditions, to prevent similar incidents in the future.
