The documentary "A Journey to Famagusta" (Ταξίδι στην Αμμόχωστο), a co-production between Kokkinochoria Evening High School & Lyceum and UCLan Cyprus University, has been officially released and is now available on YouTube. This film pays tribute to the memory, history, and cultural heritage of Famagusta, emphasizing the importance of preserving personal and collective narratives through audiovisual storytelling.
Created with contributions from educators, students, academics, and the local community, the documentary features rare archival photographs and historical materials shared by local residents. The project was supervised by Eleni Papaioannou, with curation and production support from various experts including Alexandros Constandinou and Dr. Christos Karpasitis.
This collaborative effort highlights the value of community engagement in cultural preservation and offers viewers a rich visual and historical experience reflecting Famagusta’s legacy.
