Eight Ukrainian children enjoy a holiday in Cyprus amid ongoing war
Eight Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s war spent a holiday in Cyprus thanks to an initiative by President Nikos Christodoulides. The trip was organized through collaboration between the president’s office, the foreign ministry, the deputy tourism ministry, and Cyprus’ embassy in Kyiv.
The initiative also involved the Ukrainian ombudsman’s office, the Child Rights Protection Centre, tour operator Join UP, and SkyUp Airlines. During their stay, the children enjoyed Cyprus’ beaches, nature, cuisine, and culture, providing them with positive experiences and a respite from the hardships of war.
