New Boards Appointed for Semi-Governmental Organizations in Cyprus

The Council of Ministers in Cyprus has approved new administrative boards for several semi-governmental organizations. Key appointments include Yiannis Ioannou as President of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) and Pavlos Pavlou as President of the Cyprus Radio Foundation (RIK). Other major entities such as the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (THOC), the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (ATHK), and the Cyprus Ports Authority also received new leadership teams.

Additionally, Dimitra Eleftheriou has been appointed President of the Council “Voice,” responsible for implementing the National Strategy against child sexual abuse and exploitation. Eleftheriou brings over twenty years of experience in strategic communication and public relations and is actively engaged in social welfare, especially concerning children’s well-being.

These new appointments reflect a broad restructuring aimed at strengthening governance and oversight in Cyprus’s key semi-governmental institutions, covering sectors from culture and sports to media and public infrastructure.
