Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides announces partial cabinet reshuffle with four ministerial changes
President Nikos Christodoulides unveiled a partial cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday, replacing four ministers in key government positions. Evanthia Tsolaki has been appointed as the new transport minister, succeeding Alexis Vafeades. Christos Senekis takes over as the agriculture minister, replacing Maria Panayiotou, who recently announced her departure to become a state high school teacher.
The deputy ministry of social welfare and the deputy ministry of culture also saw new appointments. Tina Pavlou, director of the Ayia Skepi drug rehabilitation centre, has been named deputy minister of social welfare, while Clea Hadjistefanou-Papaellina transitions to deputy minister of culture. Additionally, changes were made to three commissioner posts, including Elias Myrianthos as environment and animal welfare commissioner.
The new appointees are scheduled to be sworn in during a ceremony at the presidential palace on Thursday.
