Israeli man drowns off Limassol beach, investigation ongoing
A 34-year-old Israeli man drowned while swimming off a beach in Limassol on Tuesday morning. The man had been swimming with his family when he disappeared under unclear circumstances, prompting an extensive search lasting around two hours.
Lifeguards eventually found the man floating in the water and pulled him ashore. Despite ambulance efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities from Israel and Cyprus are cooperating to finalise procedures for repatriating his body to Israel.
