Direct Democracy Cyprus urges public involvement in Cyprus issue deliberations
Fidias Panayiotou, leader of Direct Democracy Cyprus, emphasized the need for greater public participation in discussions regarding the Cyprus problem following the National Council meeting on Monday. He stressed that all convergences and deliberations should be transparent to ensure the public understands what is being discussed.
Panayiotou highlighted the importance of involving citizens in the negotiation process, especially if the Cyprus issue goes to a referendum again. To facilitate this, Direct Democracy Cyprus plans to use a mobile application to present resolutions and gather public opinion on topics such as the bizonal, bicommunal federation.
By investing in information dissemination and insisting on transparency, Direct Democracy Cyprus aims to keep the public informed and engaged in the ongoing peace process discussions.
