National Bank of Greece Completes Latest Share Buyback Acquiring Over 727,000 Shares
The National Bank of Greece has acquired 727,285 of its own common shares on Euronext Athens between August 10 and August 17, 2026, at an average price of €16.3083 per share, totaling approximately €11.86 million. This buyback is part of a broader repurchase programme approved by shareholders and authorized by the ECB.
The initiative follows decisions made at the bank’s April 30, 2026 annual general meeting and subsequent announcements in June. With these latest transactions, the bank now holds 24,601,002 treasury shares, representing 2.69% of its total share capital.
In line with shareholder resolutions, the bank plans to cancel the repurchased shares within the legal timeframe, continuing its strategy to optimize capital structure and enhance shareholder value.
