Electric scooter fire causes damage in Nicosia apartment, no injuries reported
A fire broke out in an electric scooter inside a third-floor apartment in the Agios Antonios area of Nicosia shortly after midnight. The Fire Service received the call at 00:25 and quickly dispatched three fire engines from the Paphos Gate and Kaimakli fire stations. The fire and intense heat caused extensive damage to the scooter, while smoke affected the apartment's wall paint.
The resident noticed the fire early and managed to contain it before it spread further. Other residents of the building evacuated safely to an open area prior to the arrival of the Fire Service, with no injuries reported. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire in collaboration with relevant experts to determine what triggered the incident.
