Labour Advisory Board to Discuss New Pension Reform with Minister Mousiouttas

The new pension reform will be the main topic at a meeting of the Labour Advisory Board with Labour Minister Marinos Mousiouttas on Wednesday morning. The minister emphasized the importance of reaching a consensus quickly and aiming to minimize or eliminate any differences in opinions on the bill. The proposal is expected to be submitted to Parliament in September, targeting implementation from January 2027, with pensioners seeing changes in their payments starting February 1.

During the meeting, the ministry will present the detailed government proposal and highlight any revisions made to the bill. Subsequent meetings are planned to regularly address questions, gather suggestions, and assess their feasibility. Further feedback and concerns from social partners are anticipated at the next Labour Advisory Body session scheduled for August 28.
