Fire in Alambra quickly controlled, burns agricultural land and threatens residence

A fire broke out at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday in the Alambra community, burning two decares of agricultural land and dry vegetation while threatening a nearby house. Firefighters acted swiftly, bringing the blaze under complete control by 10:00 a.m., successfully protecting the residence from immediate danger.

The firefighting response included 12 personnel from the Department of Forests with four fire engines and an agricultural tractor, assisted by five firefighters and two fire engines from the Cyprus Fire Service. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
