Fire near Kato Moni controlled within 20 minutes
A fire that broke out near the village of Kato Moni on Saturday afternoon was fully controlled within 20 minutes, the forestry department reported. The blaze started at approximately 2:35 pm within the village's administrative area and was extinguished by 2:55 pm. Around one decare of low wild vegetation was burned during the incident. Twelve forestry personnel responded with two fire engines and a bulldozer, supported by three firefighters and one fire engine from the fire service. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
