Vivartia in talks to sell Evergood food-service arm to Fairfax subsidiary
Vivartia group, a major Greek food services conglomerate, is in advanced discussions to sell its Evergood food-service arm to a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings. Financial due diligence has been completed, although Fairfax has not yet made a formal offer. Evergood operates well-known brands including Goody’s Burger House, Everest, Flocafé, La Pasteria, and Jackaroo, with a notable presence in Cyprus.
In 2025, Evergood reported consolidated revenue of €299.63 million, a 13.1% increase from 2024, and total system sales, including franchises, reached €375 million. Profitability also improved with net profit after tax rising nearly 10% to €13.57 million. These strong financials underline the attractiveness of Evergood within the competitive food-service market.
Fairfax, led by Prem Watsa, already has significant investments in the region, including major stakes in Eurobank and Cyprus-based insurance. The potential acquisition of Evergood would expand Fairfax’s portfolio into the Greek food-service sector, enhancing its footprint in Cyprus and the wider area. Discussions are ongoing with no agreement announced to date.
