Paralimni secures planning permission for major town centre redevelopment

Paralimni has taken a significant step towards revitalising its central core after the municipality secured planning permission for a major redevelopment project. The approved plans include street resurfacing, upgraded pavements, new green spaces, parking facilities, and service areas aimed at supporting local businesses and improving accessibility for residents and tourists.

The initiative aims to create a modern, functional urban environment that respects the town's history and identity. Following revised plans that retain vehicle access instead of full pedestrianisation, the scheme also features one-way traffic proposals to improve flow.

This project forms part of a larger town centre transformation program that includes a new square near Ayios Georgios church and an ongoing multi-storey car park construction. While the municipality has received the crucial permit, further technical studies and approvals are required before construction can commence.
