Limassol hotels reach 90% occupancy in August driven by last-minute and domestic bookings
Hotel occupancy in Limassol has rebounded to around 90% for August, matching levels seen in 2025, according to PASYXE Limassol President Christos Tsanos. This recovery is attributed to a surge in last-minute bookings and a boost from the domestic tourism market, particularly notable during the week of August 10-17. The positive trend follows revised travel advisories and reflects a gradual reversal of the negative impact caused by the war in Iran.
Tsanos also highlighted that hotel prices have mostly stayed close to last year’s levels, with increases not exceeding 5%. This approach aims to support both Cypriot holidaymakers and international visitors returning to Limassol. Emphasizing that the city attracts a higher-income tourist segment with elevated expectations, Tsanos stressed the importance of maintaining high service standards to meet these demands.
