Two Arrested over Shooting at Russian Businessman's Germasogeia Liquor Store Following Extensive CCTV Investigation
Police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting incident at a liquor store owned by a Russian businessman in Germasogeia on March 31. The suspects, aged 20 and 36, were identified through analysis of dozens of CCTV cameras tracking their motorcycle and car movements in the early hours of the attack. Both men have been remanded for eight days and face charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal possession and transport of firearms and explosives, and discharging a firearm.
The investigation revealed the motorcycle involved circled the store before the rider fired multiple shots, then met with the car shortly after near Agios Athanasios. This incident marks the fourth attack on the businessman since November 2025, including arson attacks against his vehicles and business premises. Police continue to seek a third person possibly connected to the crimes and expect to take further statements as the probe progresses.
