Cyprus and India to Boost Cooperation in Air Connectivity, Infrastructure, and Ports

Cyprus and India are set to enhance cooperation in air connectivity, infrastructure projects, and port development following recent talks between Transport Minister Evie Tsolaki and Indian High Commissioner Manish Manish. The discussions aimed to strengthen practical collaboration within the framework of their broader strategic relationship.

The meeting highlighted initiatives to improve bilateral transport links and infrastructure. Tsolaki, who has served as Cyprus’ Minister of Transport, Communications and Works since August 2026, is scheduled to visit India in early October. Her visit will include bilateral meetings and participation in ‘Sagarmanthan: The Great Oceans Dialogue 2026,’ an event co-hosted by India’s Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Observer Research Foundation.

Indian High Commissioner Manish emphasized the importance of translating strategic cooperation into tangible transport and infrastructure projects. Both sides expressed optimism about deepening ties and practical engagement in key areas like air connectivity and port infrastructure to facilitate stronger bilateral relations.
