Little Heroes Foundation raises childhood cancer awareness with public illuminations and hospital visit in Cyprus

The Little Heroes Foundation organized two significant events in Cyprus last week to highlight childhood cancer awareness during Gold September, the international childhood cancer awareness month. On September 25, multiple public buildings including the presidential palace and key town halls across Cyprus were illuminated with the Little Heroes emblem to remind society of the support needed for children battling cancer and their families.

The following day, 100 cub scouts from the Cyprus Scouts Association, along with the Limassol district scout band, visited the pediatric oncology department at Makarios hospital in Nicosia. The scouts engaged in songs, dances, and activities such as a bubble display to show solidarity with young patients undergoing treatment.

The foundation expressed gratitude towards the participating authorities, scouts, and supporters, emphasizing the collective effort to ensure that "no child should have to fight alone," as stated by founder Loucas Fourlas.
