Police conduct extensive operations leading to 300 traffic fines and three arrests across Cyprus
The Cyprus Police intensified their presence last night with organized patrols targeting key urban areas to prevent serious crimes and maintain public order. These efforts resulted in the arrest of three individuals for offenses including illegal stay and fraud. A total of 483 vehicles were stopped, with 655 individuals inspected during the operations.
In traffic enforcement alone, 300 fines were issued covering various violations, including 115 for speeding. Authorities also conducted alcohol tests resulting in five fines and two drug tests with one positive. Additionally, seven vehicles were impounded. Thirty-five inspections were carried out in commercial establishments, yielding two reports.
The police emphasize that these preventive operations will continue daily, with enhanced patrols and targeted actions focused on increasing public safety and preserving order throughout Cyprus.
