Unexploded bomb found at telecom company building in Limassol following motorcycle chase

Early Wednesday morning, police in Limassol responded to the discovery of an unexploded bomb at the entrance of a building housing a telecommunications company in Mesa Geitonia. Authorities were alerted around 2:30 a.m. after a man on a large motorcycle was seen fleeing the scene suspiciously. Officers located a motorcycle without license plates carrying one individual, who then fled, leading to a police chase that ended without capture.

Further investigation at the site confirmed the presence of an explosive device, which, for unknown reasons, failed to detonate. A police bomb disposal expert was deployed to safely deactivate the device. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is continuing its inquiries into the incident.
