Zakynthos close to signing experienced midfielder Amr Warda to boost Superbet League 2 campaign
Zakynthos, currently bottom of Superbet League 2 with just one point from four matches, is on the verge of signing 33-year-old international midfielder Amr Warda. The club aims to strengthen its squad ahead of a challenging season and hopes to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes on September 29. Warda, who was recently released by Iraklis after spells with AEL Novibet and several Greek clubs, has extensive experience in both Greece and Cyprus. Since moving to Greece in 2015, he has played for teams including Panaitolikos, PAOK, Atromitos, Volos, and Panserraikos, as well as Cypriot clubs Anorthosis and Apollon Limassol. Throughout his career in Greece's top league, Warda has amassed 98 appearances and scored 42 goals. Last season with Iraklis, he made nine appearances and provided two assists. Zakynthos hopes that his arrival will help them improve their standings as they prepare for the rest of the season.
