KLM expands winter operations with new A350, increases flights on European and long-haul routes
KLM will operate 164 destinations across 64 countries in its upcoming winter schedule from October 25 to March 27, shortly before introducing its first Airbus A350. The program includes 93 European and 71 intercontinental destinations, with increased capacity on several routes and new additions like Minneapolis and San Diego. Seasonal daily Larnaca-Amsterdam flights continue until October 24, with winter connections maintained via the airline's booking platform and some Transavia-operated services.
Larnaca plays a strategic role as a technical stop on the Amsterdam-Tel Aviv route, reflecting adjustments due to Middle East conditions. KLM plans to restore services to key Middle Eastern cities Dubai, Riyadh, and Dammam depending on regional developments. Other notable enhancements involve increased long-haul frequencies to destinations like Panama City, São Paulo, and Curaçao, alongside extra European city-break flights.
The winter season also marks improvements in onboard service with expanded food options for Economy passengers on European flights, and fleet modernization featuring the Airbus A350's first commercial passenger service to Toronto. KLM aims to enhance passenger comfort and sustainability while reducing night-time noise at Schiphol airport through timetable adjustments.
