Four arrested in Cyprus overnight for drug possession, illegal residency, and court order defiance
Cyprus police arrested four individuals overnight on charges including drug possession, illegal residency, and defying court orders. The operation involved extensive checks with 397 drivers and 111 passengers stopped and inspected.
During the enforcement activities, officers also inspected 33 premises and recorded one complaint. Traffic enforcement led to 199 complaints, primarily for speeding, with 110 speeding violations reported. Three vehicles were seized, and six other traffic offenses were investigated.
Additionally, police conducted 88 alcohol tests resulting in two complaints and carried out four preliminary drug tests, all of which were negative. The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining safety and legal compliance across the region.
