Four arrested in Limassol for unlicensed security guard activities

Police in Limassol arrested four individuals after discovering that three were working as security guards without the necessary licences, while a fourth was violating her own licence by permitting the unauthorized activity. The arrests followed a police investigation into information about illegal security operations at a location in the city.

During the investigation, officers found a 62-year-old woman with a valid security guard licence, but she was overseeing premises guarded by another company. This led to her arrest for breaching licence terms. Additionally, two women aged 31 and 30 and a 75-year-old man were found acting as security guards without licences and were arrested on the spot.

All four were taken to a Limassol police station, formally charged, and then released. The case highlights the enforcement of licensing regulations within the private security sector in Cyprus.
