Firefighters rescue person trapped in vehicle after ditch accident on Apliki–Palaichori road

On Sunday morning, firefighters rescued an individual trapped in a vehicle that had fallen into a ditch on the Apliki–Palaichori road. The rescue operation began shortly after the Fire Service received a call at 7:10 am. Crews from the Akropolis and Palaichori rural fire stations promptly responded with rescue teams and fire engines.

The trapped occupant was carefully placed on a rescue stretcher by the firefighters and handed over to an ambulance crew at the scene. The patient was then transported to the Accident & Emergency department at Nicosia General Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
