MHV honours 14 students completing summer internships at Nicosia and Limassol hotels for World Tourism Day
MHV celebrated World Tourism Day by honouring 14 students who completed summer internships at The Landmark Nicosia and Parklane in Limassol. The initiative took place on September 25, two days before World Tourism Day on September 27, highlighting the importance of practical experience in tourism and hospitality education.
The students worked in various roles across departments during their internships, gaining hands-on experience linked to their academic studies. Seven students interned at The Landmark Nicosia, while the other seven completed placements at Parklane, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. MHV representatives emphasized that tourism is fundamentally about people, and that young individuals should be encouraged to explore career options within the sector.
The event brought together students, educators, and industry representatives, including a Deputy Ministry of Tourism official. MHV stated that the initiative aligns with their corporate social responsibility efforts to support youth development, enhance cooperation between academic institutions and the industry, and facilitate smoother transitions from education to employment in tourism and hospitality.
