Bosnian man wanted for attempted murder arrested at Larnaca airport
A 33-year-old man wanted by Bosnian authorities for attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a felony was arrested at Larnaca airport on Friday. The suspect was identified during passport checks upon his arrival from abroad, based on an Interpol Red Notice and an arrest warrant issued by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The alleged offenses date back to 2019 and include attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a felony. Following his identification, a temporary court arrest warrant was issued in Cyprus, leading to the man's immediate detention.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before a court to begin extradition proceedings to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he will face charges related to the 2019 crimes.
