Logicom appoints Anthoulis Papachristoforou as new CEO, Varnavas Irinarchos shifts to strategic roles
Logicom has appointed long-serving executive Anthoulis Papachristoforou as its new chief executive officer, entrusting him with daily management of the group’s technology operations. This change, effective September 24, follows a board decision and involves Varnavas Irinarchos stepping down as CEO to focus on strategy, investments, and major projects as executive vice-chairman.
Papachristoforou, formerly deputy managing director and group CFO, will oversee Logicom and its subsidiaries across its technology and IT businesses, reporting directly to Irinarchos. The reorganisation aims to separate operational leadership from oversight of the company’s expanding investment portfolio, including a 38.5% stake in Demetra Holdings and interests in desalination infrastructure crucial to Cyprus’ water supply.
Logicom, listed in Cyprus and with operations across Europe and the Middle East, recently reported an 8.8% rise in operating profit to €19.61 million for the first half of 2026. The company employs over 800 staff and serves more than 8,000 customers. A transition period of six months will see both executives working together, during which Logicom will also begin its search for a new group CFO.
