Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt Enhance Cooperation Ahead of 11th Trilateral Summit

Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt held a ministerial meeting in New York to discuss strengthening their cooperation ahead of the 11th trilateral summit scheduled to take place in Cyprus. Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos hosted his Egyptian and Greek counterparts, focusing on expanding collaboration in various sectors.

During his visit, Kombos also engaged in bilateral talks with officials from Indonesia, India, and Iceland. Notably, Cyprus and Indonesia signed an agreement waiving visa requirements for diplomatic and service passport holders to facilitate official exchanges. Discussions with India reaffirmed growing strategic ties in trade, security, and digitalization.

Additionally, Kombos co-organized a high-level meeting of Europe’s small states to promote coordination at the UN and other multilateral forums. The talks included EU relations, regional developments, and strategies related to the upcoming UN secretary-general election and UN reforms.
