A 79-year-old man critically injured in a road collision on Nikis Avenue in Nicosia earlier this month has died from his injuries. The victim, identified as local resident Costas Papadopoulos, was involved in the crash on September 5, when his car collided with a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old.

Papadopoulos was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital and was intubated in the intensive care unit, but he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the accident.
