Diesel prices near 2 euros per litre in Cyprus amid rising refinery costs
Diesel prices in Cyprus are averaging close to 2 euros per litre, according to Konstantinos Karagiorgis, director of the Consumer Protection Service. The Fuel Retail Price Observatory reported an average diesel price of 1.977 euros per litre, with prices ranging from 1.869 to 2.076 euros. Unleaded 95 petrol is averaging 1.70 euros per litre, with prices between 1.595 and 1.789 euros.
Karagiorgis noted that refinery prices are still rising and the current geopolitical developments offer little optimism for a decrease in fuel prices. When questioned about future fuel cargo prices, he stated it is impossible to predict price movements but expressed hope for a resolution in regional disputes that could stabilize the situation.
The ongoing tensions and increasing refinery costs continue to impact fuel prices in Cyprus, creating uncertainty for consumers and market watchers alike.
