Larnaca Authorities Accelerate Affordable Housing Projects to Support Low-Income Families
The Larnaca local government organisation (EOA) and the Cyprus Land Development Corporation (Koag) have launched a new cooperation phase to provide affordable housing for families, low-income households, and young people. The organisations agreed to prioritise and expedite licensing procedures for Koag projects to ensure faster implementation.
The initiative focuses on addressing the acute housing shortage in the Larnaca district, where per capita income is the lowest in Cyprus. This economic challenge has heightened the urgency for affordable housing solutions, according to EOA officials.
A joint press conference is scheduled for November, during which Koag will present available affordable housing programmes in Larnaca, including details on availability and the application process, aiming to assist those in need efficiently.
