Man Pleads Guilty to €220,000 Burglary at Limassol Designer Goods Shop

A 45-year-old man has pleaded guilty to burglary and theft involving €220,000 worth of second-hand designer bags, watches, and jewellery from a Limassol shop. His DNA was matched to several key items, including the sledgehammer used to break into the store.

The burglary occurred early on 15 September 2025, when two hooded men broke the shop's metal security door and smashed the glass front door. They spent around 30 minutes stealing valuables displayed in the store before fleeing with the goods in a rubbish bin.

Authorities arrested the suspect three months later after forensic testing linked his DNA to evidence found at the scene and nearby locations. He admitted to burglary, theft, and conspiracy, with some charges suspended. The court has set a new date to present facts and proceed with sentencing.
