Cypriot biker Savvina Koulle wins Mountain of Hell women’s E-Bike race and inspires others with new documentary
Cypriot mountain biker Savvina Koulle has secured first place in the women's E-Bike category at the challenging Mountain of Hell race for the third consecutive year, making history as the first woman from Cyprus or Greece to compete and win in the event. Despite a dramatic fall on an icy section of the course, Koulle got back on her bike to finish the race, symbolizing her resilience and determination.
Her journey and philosophy of perseverance are captured in the upcoming documentary Everybody Falls: The Road to the Summit, which premieres on November 11 at Premier Cinemas in Nicosia Mall. The documentary aims to inspire a wider audience about overcoming setbacks, with proceeds supporting the Karaiskakio Foundation.
Koulle has also created the platform Eat Her Dust to encourage more women to participate in mountain biking, a sport where female riders are still underrepresented in Cyprus. Having left her city job to live closer to nature in Platres, she dedicates herself to training, content creation, and motivational talks, emphasizing that everyone faces challenges but success comes from rising again.
