Andreas Solomonides to lead combined BSM Cyprus and Greece ship management operations from 2027
Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has announced that Andreas Solomonides will lead its integrated ship management operations in Cyprus and Greece starting January 1, 2027. This move will unite BSM Cyprus and BSM Hellas under a single leadership structure, enhancing collaboration and leveraging combined capabilities. Solomonides, currently the managing director of BSM Cyprus, will oversee the integrated Ship Management Centre covering both regions.
BSM CEO Sebastian von Hardenberg highlighted Solomonides' extensive operational experience and knowledge of both organisations, emphasizing that his leadership will maintain trusted customer relationships while driving growth. Solomonides has a long history with BSM, beginning his career as a technical officer in 2005 and progressing through various senior roles.
Meanwhile, Theophanis Theophanous, managing director of BSM Hellas since 2005, will transition to the role of non-executive chairman for both BSM Cyprus and Hellas. His leadership has been credited with establishing BSM Hellas as a reliable partner and growing key vessel segments, especially LNG services.
