Delivery driver assaulted in Limassol, police launch investigation after video goes viral
A delivery driver was physically assaulted in Limassol on Friday afternoon, with police opening an investigation following the circulation of a video showing the incident. The confrontation took place around 5.45pm on Spyrou Kyprianou road, where traffic had stopped at a light.
Footage shared on social media depicts a black BMW X3 stopping beside the delivery driver as he collects his bicycle and equipment. A man then exits the car and punches the driver in the head, leading to a violent altercation involving three men. The delivery driver is seen being kicked and pushed before the assailants leave the scene.
Authorities confirmed no official complaint has yet been filed by the victim, but police are actively investigating the case. The video, which clearly shows the BMW’s license plate, was initially posted by the Facebook page RoadReport.cy and has been forwarded to law enforcement for further action.
