Two drivers caught over alcohol limit in Larnaca and Nicosia

Two motorists were stopped for driving under the influence in Larnaca and Nicosia during early Sunday hours. A 45-year-old driver in Larnaca recorded 131mcg on a breath test, nearly six times the legal limit of 22mcg. Meanwhile, in Nicosia, a 24-year-old driver tested at 79mcg, also well above the limit.

Both men were issued bail documents and are scheduled to appear before their respective district courts for immediate charge filing. In a separate case in Nicosia, a 21-year-old man was detained for refusing to provide a breath sample. He was subsequently released on bail and is also set to face court proceedings.
