Eurobank funds €2 million day centre for severe autism in Strovolos

Eurobank has announced the winning architectural design for a €2 million day centre dedicated to people at the most severe end of the autism spectrum, located in the Ayios Dimitrios parish of Strovolos. The bank will fully finance the construction, while the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare will manage the centre upon completion.

The architectural competition drew 37 entries, with the first prize awarded to the team of Chrysostomos Theodoropoulos, Eleni Livani, and Panayiota Karamanea. Their design emphasizes creating a secure environment that also promotes a meaningful daily routine and personalized support tailored to each individual's abilities and needs.

At the unveiling event, President Nikos Christodoulides and Deputy Minister Tina Pavlou praised the collaboration, highlighting its social importance and lasting benefit. Eurobank CEO Michalis Louis reaffirmed the bank's commitment to social initiatives that foster inclusion and equal opportunities, describing the project as a model partnership between the private sector and government.
