Cyprus CySEC launches nationwide financial awareness campaign for World Investor Week 2026
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) announced a nationwide financial awareness campaign set to run from October 5 to 11, aligning with World Investor Week 2026. The initiative focuses on enhancing investor resilience and protecting against digital deception, joining regulatory authorities from over 100 countries under the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
CySEC will conduct educational presentations across primary, secondary, and technical schools, as well as universities, as part of its ongoing school lecture programme. The campaign emphasizes key themes such as digital scam awareness and disciplined investment behavior. Previous initiatives reached 3,450 students in 88 schools, and this year will also include interactive online quizzes and a social media campaign to boost public understanding.
Chairman George Karatzias highlighted the importance of addressing modern investment challenges, urging the public to conduct independent research and deal only with licensed professionals. All campaign materials will be accessible through CySEC’s Financial Education Portal, supporting Cyprus’ wider national strategy to improve financial literacy and investor protection.
