Limassol Municipality Unveils New Proposals for Ayia Fyla Square Redevelopment
Limassol municipality has presented revised designs for the redevelopment of Ayia Fyla’s square, incorporating feedback from residents gathered earlier this year. The updated plans focus on transforming the junction of Theodosi Hadjitheodosiou, Zola, and Christou Apostolides streets into a vibrant, safe, and accessible space for all ages.
This square is part of a broader citywide initiative involving 24 public squares scheduled for redevelopment. The municipality aims to preserve existing greenery, improve accessibility for people with mobility needs, enhance children's play areas, and add shading and lighting to create sustainable neighbourhood hubs.
A second phase of consultation begins today at the Panos Solomonides municipal cultural centre, where planners will reveal preliminary proposals for fifteen additional squares across various neighbourhoods including Apostolos Andreas, Ayios Nikolaos, Kapsalos, and Pantheon.
